The premix tracks are completed for "Stormbringer" now. They feature a unique sound with every tracks. The album has a unique blend of black metal as the core and finely blends the lines between industrial, classical, symphonic and folk. Also, after this album, Echoes of Silence will be going on a hiatus.

The Trinitia album is complete. Within the new few days, all the premix tracks from "Stormbringer" should be finished as well. Tracks seven and eight have been redone to be more technical and to have more riffs and parts added. Track seven will feature, for the first time, clean vocals and more instrumental parts. Leviticai has decided to start a new bleak and minimal black metal project called Trinitia. He has a demo tape made which features two tracks of pure black metal and is working on the first full length for Trinitia titled "Twilight" which will be finished by July.

The official website has received a new layout. The site has gone through five different layouts today as some of you may have noticed. The original one was too hard for everyone to read and was a little to cluttered along with the images that were too blurry and pixelated. The new background was created by PCS art and the header logo was created by MetalJet. If any of you see and problems with the site, please contact and tell what is wrong.

Echoes of Silence will be re-recording the first two EPs "Where No Sun Shines" and "Thy Darkest Desires" in a free full length entitled "Spiritus Mortis." It will contain the six tracks off of "Where No Sun Shines" and three of the four (excluding the song Spiritus Mortis since it is also on "Where No Sun Shines") off of "Thy Darkest Desires." It will be a free download for those who want the past EPs but more up to date and with a better sound. It will be available in the DOWNLOADS section in the next few days.

The final mix of "Birds of Prey" is up on myspace right now. It was recorded again with Stefan on guitars, bass and drums. He is also redoing all other tracks on the album as session musician. The album is expected to be finished, including mixing and mastering, by November 2008.

Tracks four and five have been recorded and sound much different from past works in terms of the instrumentals. The songs have more complex melodies but are still highly influenced by that of the simplistic, old black metal sound.

Track number two has been recorded for "Stormbringer" now. Each track is taking about five days to record in terms of the basic instrumental recording process excluding effects and cleaning up. The next track for the album will take its place, recording by the coming week.

Echoes of Silence is in discussion with a few labels and still in decision to either stay or leave Dead Moon Records. Dead Moon Records seems to not be active anymore so its looking like Echoes of Silence will soon be deciding on a new label to get back into making and releasing music again. The last release by Echoes of Silence was on Clovenhoof Productions in August of 2007 so the band is backed up in releases and material. Clovenhoof will be releases the two split albums this summer as well.

Another track has been written entitled "Bloody Romantic Crescendo" which has a slower tempo to it in sound. Much influenced by Mystic Forest and Your Shapeless Beauty. The album progress is going by faster than expected but these tracks are subject to change with time since these are just demo tracks used for writing. The final project will be out later this year.

The track is entitled "When Love Turns to Murder (Bloodlust Pt. II)" which is the second part of a romantic tragedy started in the track "Bloodlust in D Minor (Bloodlust Pt. I)." The process of song writing and composing feels like an endless endeavor. So far, the new songs are coming out well and are taking much longer to write and compose. The songs will have a new sound to them in terms of the vocal recording. The high vocals which usually sound distorted (it was actually the microphone used to record the vocals, no effects were used) will have a more distant, cavernous recording sound and some parts are layered with deep, guttural vocals as well to add into the music. Echoes of Silence will be featured in an upcoming book based on Gothic and Industrial bands of the 80's, 90's and today. Being that Echoes of Silence started out in the late 90's, Echoes of Silence will be featured as an offshoot of the Gothic category as well as it will talk of the early releases of Echoes of Silence which were categorized as being Ambient much like the later releases of Burzum. The book will be written by Scott Heath who also wrote "The Old Woman and the Creature." More news will come as time passes.

The EP entitled "She is the Night" will feature a cover of the Portishead song "Roads" which is a quite unusual cover for a black metal band to cover but it was more inspired by the cover done by My Dying Bride. It will be the last track on the EP.

The site header has been re-aligned and the logo has been brightened and has a shadow behind it now to make it stand out more. The header and background are two separate graphics so the bottom third of the logo is part of the background so if it is not aligned on your browser, it is due to screen and site size differences. For other news, Echoes of Silence is currently writing new music. The music will be different in ways since there will be a song that will be more of a depressive/doom black metal track. The new recordings will be on an EP entitled "She is the Night."

After many hours of work from yesterday to the early waking hours of today, the new site layout is finished. As you can see, the header and background are two separate parts that connect the logo together and the side banner is transparent so you can see the bottom of the logo behind it. Echoes of Silence starts the new year with a new label signing. Dead Moon Records has welcomed Echoes of Silence to their label roster. "Beyond the Crimson Gates" will be released on Dead Moon Records this month. It will be limited to 100 copies through the label. Echoes of Silence looks forward to a future with Dead Moon Records.

There has been discussion with Dead Moon / Forest of Skulls Records about signing to their label but there is no solid, in stone decisions made. They may release the limited edition copy or the official album as well as Candarian Demon Productions and distribute the album as well. We will see what is to come. Also, the past four releases from 2006 will be re-duplicated as PRO-CDr format with full artwork by Clovenhoof Productions for sure. This will happen sometime by January at the latest. Each will be limited to 15 copies and distributed by Clovenhoof Distribution. Some copies will be available in the webstore. Contact through email or myspace for info. There is also a new desktop wallpaper added to the "PROPAGANDA" section, use it now.

Site updated. The BLACK GALLERY has been updated with more pictures and sections. The background of the site has been fixed also. A track from "The Cursed Revelations" is available now for download. The album will technically not be a new release since it is just previously recorded material that was never released on either "Realms of Nightshade Abyss" or "Beyond the Crimson Gates" so there is no telling yet whether it will officially be released on CD or just online release. More info will come later but if it is released, it will be in 2008 after the release of "Beyond the Crimson Gates." Another track from "Beyond the Crimson Gates" has been added to the myspace player which hit over 100,000 plays today.

The songs on myspace have received over 25,000 plays today. Also, a release featuring never before released or heard tracks that were from splits that never happened and tracks that never made it to albums will be released mid 2008. It will be titled "The Cursed Revelations" which will be up in the DISCOGRAPHY section. The cover and tracklist will be up. It does not truly count as an actual release so it will be released sometime in mid 2008.

It is official that Vampiria Records will be releasing the limited edition version of "Beyond the Crimson Gates." Also, the side banner has been updated to an animated banner which says the album will be released early 2008 since Candarian Demon Productions is saying the release may be delayed a month or so. Echoes of Silence announces that a new album is in the works. The album will be between 14 to 17 tracks long and will feature works that weren't released on "Realms of Nightshade Abyss." Some tracks that were recorded for the album earlier will be up on the band's myspace page. A new track will be posted every week or so as things come along. Instead of a black and white theme, the site now has a dark gray and black theme with dark forest images. Working still on "Silent Whispers" as it is coming along well. Will hopefully be finished in a month. It will be released through Clovenhoof Productions. The tracks that are up now on myspace have so far gotten good reviews and support. Alot of people have said that the new sound of the album is a good turn for the better. The most notable track so far is "Nightfall's Lament" which has been said to sound like it has "a middle eastern folk influence." Also searching for a new label to move onto.
